MamaP started with two questions, how can we use less plastic in everyday items and give back to communities? This is what guides us.
We Are Different.
MamaP is a social good and sustainable business. We believe that by removing plastic and chemicals from your everyday life add up to a lot. Doing good starts with small changes like switching from a plastic toothbrush to a bamboo toothbrush. We also believe that companies should take a more active role in providing end-of-life product solutions and by giving back to communities helping them thrive.
Our purpose is to leave the world a better place than how we found it.
No Green Washing Here
Earth Day is everyday here at MamaP. That's why since Day 1 we've said goodbye to plastic and hello to Earth-friendly. We think through the supply chain, removing plastics whenever possible. Even shipping online orders and retailer orders, we use compostable materials. By using recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable materials in our products and shipping materials, we’re able to divert waste from landfill and build a circular economy.
Our bamboo toothbrushes have always used bamboo handles and non-toxic paint. DuPont nylon bristles are industry standard and can be recycled at specialty recycling locations. Our packaging has always used undyed, kraft paper with soybean oil ink. Just about all the materials used in MamaP products and shipping supplies are compostable. Which means you can toss them into the compost bin with your banana peels and use it in the garden. Hello regenerative agriculture and circular economy!
Leaving The World A Better Place Than How We Found It
Over one billion plastic toothbrushes will end up in the landfill every year in the US alone. I started researching plastic toothbrush alternatives and discovered bamboo toothbrushes online. But when I ordered they’d come in plastic envelopes and plastic packaging. It was disappointing. The handles were rigid and grew black spots days after the first use. The brush head was uncomfortable when brushing. I wanted something better for my health, that felt good using, that looked beautiful, and had sustainability built in from start to finish. So I decided to make my own.
MamaP was built on serving a purpose: Taking care of our health, being kind to the environment, and giving back to the community. Our mission is to inspire people to make small changes every single day.
Together, we can do good and live better.
