Amanda ‘Mana’ Paulsen is the owner, designer, and maker behind Mana Made. The brand was first conceived in Southern California, where Mana lived for a better part of a decade and started designing jewelry. Originally from the East End of Long Island, she brought her jewelry practice back to the east coast and acquired metal fabrication techniques by working under several jewelry artists at metal arts studios in NYC.
A native New Yorker with a west coast soul, Mana currently calls Brooklyn home and travels back to SoCal frequently.
Mana Made Jewerly’s studio is currently based in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn where each piece of jewelry is designed and fabricated. Studio visits are available by appointment.
All pieces are designed and produced by hand in NYC. Jewelry pieces are minimal in style and ever evolving to incorporate new materials and different fabrication practices.
A lover of the sea and all things art + vintage + jewelry + fashion, Mana Made Jewelry is an amalgamation of these things, which are emulated in each design. The jewelry incorporates materials found doing the things that I enjoy – from sea stones that catch my eye while hanging out on the beach to unique one-of-a-kind findings collected during a vintage shopping adventure.
Locally Sourced Materials + Handmade In NY
Each piece of jewelry is an original design and handmade from recycled metals and locally sourced materials in NY and CA. Chains, stones, and beads from local vintage purveyors are mixed with new and modern materials to give jewelry designs a classic and one-of-a-kind look.
